Amos Swaray & Leroy Kanagy arrived at 9 am with scopes & binoculars and stayed until 2 pm. They were invaluable help when counting Broad-wings. Jay Zook joined us for awhile in the afternoon. Weather: Clear blue skies for most of the day with winds mainly from the SE. Clouds finally started to arrive in late afternoon. Raptor Observations: Another wonderful day for Broad-wing hawks, with a nice mix of other flyers. Local Turkey and Black Vultures, several local Adult Bald Eagles and Red-tails. Non-raptor Observations: 40 Butterflies, Cedar Waxwings, Ravens, Piliated Woodpecker, Downy Woodpecker, 1 Hummingbird, Red-Breasted Nuthatch, Chickadee, Gold Finch, and a House Finch.
