This morning, 20 birders joined us for a walk around Millbrook Marsh,
including a few first time visitors to our bird walks. Before we even
started with the usual introductions, we had a very cooperative
Chestnut-sided Warbler foraging nearby at eye level. Some other highlights
included good looks at a Pileated Woodpecker; a Carolina Wren singing
loudly near the path, but managing to stay hidden for a while; and an adult
American Goldfinch feeding a fledgling.
There will be two more bird walks at Millbrook Marsh this fall: September
23 and 30 at 8AM.
