- Comments: "Continuing 2 juveniles. Seen with the Claytons. One was standing on the first dock by boat ramp, the other hunting on the rocks nearby. Slender with thicker bill and longer neck than black crowned.
Poor Digibinned photo."

- Comments: "Observed both birds together on the “Rae Hazel” as soon as I drove up. Juvenile YCNH with very stout mostly dark bills, long legs, and smaller spots on wings than a BCNH. Photos"

- Comments: "Most likely one of the two juveniles, that were present here earlier this morning and the individual observed at this location on 9/4/25.
Possibly the individual reported at the Morro Bay SP Marina on 9/3/25 (Tom Edell).
Dark, stout bill with yellow feathers at the base of the lower mandible; small white triangular spots on the covert feathers.
Flew in and landed on the rocks below the cypress behind the last (private) boat ramp, past the public boat launch, where it was hunting for crabs.

Observe from the Prefumo creek mouth viewing location. yellow iris. bicolored bill, pale yellowish near the base on the lower mandible, Blue gray near the base on the upper mandible. dark tip on bill. Bluish green legs. All white plumage. I could not discern the dusky wing tips except when looking at some of my photos."
