I hear a thump on the foggy den window; it's a REVI, stunned and open-mouthed on the wet grass. I rub her nape with water droplets, check back in 10'; she resists being picked up and flies off high. Chickadees and doves at lilac feeder seem to pay no attention. She soon makes a brief appearance (with chip-notes) in the dried-out lilacs, then flies off toward the front yard sycamore. Other unusual yard migrants: yellow warbler, least flycatcher. -- <frederickbouchard...>
