Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] Dickcissel, flock of Black and whites, Orchard, Tennessee
The Tuesday morning Dickcissel found by Nicole D. continues at 8:40 a.m. In the large multi ballfields now to the south of the Morley swimming pool immediately to the south of where the male Scarlet Tanager was a few years ago, mixed in with large numbers of house finches and cowbirds and a few munias and goldfinches. Earlier this morning several of us had Nick's Black and white warbler at the south end of the cemetery, which was then joined by a second black and white warbler forming perhaps the first flock of black and whites I've seen in California. And then a little later I had a female type Orchard Oriole in the northwest corner of the cemetery and Adrian H. had a Tennessee warbler in the northeast corner of the cemetery.

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://bvaudubon.org/birding-resources/ .
