Visitors: 60. Hawk enthusiasts and curious sightseers of all ages spent time at the hawkwatch today, enjoying the view and helping scan for birds.
Weather: Mostly sunny with a light wind from the north. Temperatures rose quickly from low fifties to high sixties. Hazy in the distance.
Raptor Observations: Sharpies, Cooper's, and kestrels were among the most common migrants of the morning. Broad-wings showed up later in the day, occasionally slowing down to kettle but often streaming by in groups of tens and twenties.
Non-raptor Observations: Small flocks of cormorants occasionally flew by. The pair of towhees, several juncos, and other songbirds were around all day. Ravens and local Red-tails often entertained visitors when they interacted with each other close to the platform. Monarchs: 25/115 Ruby-throated Hummingbirds: 3/47
