Observation start time: 09:00:00 Observation end time: 13:15:00 Total observation time: 4.25 hours
Official Counter: Bruce Childs, Tom Bush
Observers: Bruce Childs
Weather: Cloudy and hazy turning to mist and eventually drizzle, ending the watch for today. Temperature around 68 degrees all day with NE winds 8 to 12 mph.
Raptor Observations: Interesting mix of raptors seen that didn't go in a direction that would indicate migration. Those included 1 Cooper's Hawk, 1 Merlin, 1 Osprey, a 2 year old Bald Eagle and of course Turkey Vultures.
Non-raptor Observations: A family unit of 6 Flicker, 10 American Robin and some Chimney Swifts and Tree Swallows
Predictions: Tomorrow should be much warmer, temperatures getting up to around 80 and much sunnier. Lighter winds mostly from the North might push some birds through. Broadwings are still not pushing through in numbers up north. ======================================================================== Report submitted by John Mercer (<mercer1135...>) Rose Tree Park information may be found at: www.rtphawkwatch.org
