Weather: Clear skies with light cloud cover beginning after noon. Light northeast breeze, temps reaching the low 80s.
Raptor Observations: Broad-winged hawks that overnighted began to lift up at 9:15 AM. Heaviest flight from 11am-12pm, resulting in somewhat higher than normal count for this early date at Rocky Ridge.
Local/non-migrating raptors: 2 Red-shouldered hawks, 2 Red-tailed hawks, at least 4 adult and 2 immature Bald Eagles. Turkey Vultures numerous; Black Vultures.
Non-raptor Observations: 1 Common Raven (diving with a juvenile Red-tailed hawk) 9 Monarchs 3 Hummingbirds
