Well.. we didn't get a big push of Broadwings today but we still had
a nice trickle of raptors throughout the day.
Great looks at Kestrels and Merlins with numerous Sharpies
spicing things up ! A sprinkling of Broadwings kept things interesting.
Our Bird of the Day selection goes to the Sharpie that appeared to be
passing the ridge well above us on the river side. In an instant it
flipped
over, turned on the afterburners and rocketed towards the owl decoy.
It zipped by the decoy over the watch site and vanished down ridge !
Incredible and acrobatic flight display by this feisty little accipiter!

Non-raptor Observations:
Common Nighthawk- 3
Belted Kingfisher - 1 ( Flew right in front of us from reservoir side to
river side)
RT Hummingbird- 2
Monarch- 5
RB Nuthatch- 2
Bluejays
Cedar Waxwings
Tree Swallows
