The Sierra Foothills Aubudon chapter has asked me to post about a bird walk happening at Magnolia Ranch Trailhead on September 23, 2025. The event, called " A Saunter for Bird Lovers" starts around 8:00 am and will follow a one-mile loop. The event reads: "This walk is intended for anyone who loves birds. This trail is on BLM land, located approx. 5 miles north of Colorado and 14 miles south of Auburn on hwy 49. This is a fairly flat trail through beautiful oak woodlands with views of the American River. We will be stopping along the walk to identify and observe the behaviors of birds we see. All levels of bird lovers are welcome, but especially those new to this pastime." This walk is led by Kate with the SF aubudon chapter. We realize this might be a bit out but thought some folks may enjoy.
