Fall like feel on the ridge today and finally some raptors to count !
Broadwings of course led the charge today and it was so nice to observe
43 of these little beauties kettling directly above the watch site !
Some nice looks at Bald Eagles and Osprey as well.
My thanks to Phil Rodriguez for his company and awesome spotting efforts.
The Bird of the Day selection goes to the immie Sharpie that passed by on
the reservoir side and as it was passing the watch decided to pay the
owl decoy a visit. This bird passed in front of the watch site at approx
4 feet off the ground and made two passes at the decoy before heading
down ridge. What a show off !!!
