Visitors:
A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who helped spot all day! Darrell, Steve, Mark,
Jay were great most of the day but may regret leaving before the big hour
hit. Thank you for your sacrifice (wink)!! Craig, Jessie & Scott were
amazing all day but especially invaluable during the big push. I could not
have managed without them!!

Weather:
Party cloudy all day, 3-5mph breeze, 65 degrees early, rose to 80 by 1pm.

Raptor Observations:
It was a very good Broad-winged day until 3pm, then it became record
breaking and crazy! We nearly beat the Jacks Mt 1 day record for BWs (2700)
in just 1 hour! 2690 BWs recorded that hour. Most were streaming by so fast
and in wide open areas of the sky. 11 groups of 100+, with the largest at
430. We flew passed the old 1 day record to reach 3487 BWs for the day!
Mixed in to this great flight was a nice mix of other raptors to keep us
looking carefully. (Not counted, not migrating: 4 red-tails, 1 bald eagle,
1 peregrine, multiple TVs & BVs)

Non-raptor Observations:
Blue jays. Cedar ww, downy, rb nuthatch, chickadees, chim.swifts, tree
swallows, n.flicker, ravens, hummer, goldfinch. Could not focus on the
little birds once the BW flight got rolling.
