Observation start time: 08:00:00 Observation end time: 15:00:00 Total observation time: 6.67 hours
Official Counter: Ethan Kang, Sheryl Johnson
Observers: Bob Kelly, Sheryl Johnson
Visitors: Mike Bostilio and Karl Johnson
Weather: Sunny and warm temperatures climbing into the 80's. Winds light and moving from NW to ENE as the day progressed. As has been the pattern lately very few clouds in the morning and building to mostly cloudy after 1:00.
Raptor Observations: Locals: TV and BV
Non-raptor Observations: Lots of Chimney Swift, Butterflies included Sulfur, Common Buckeye and Tiger Swallowtail. Someone was having a party, three migrating balloons went by, probably a kid crying somewhere.
Predictions: Tomorrow should be cooler and cloudier than today, but it could be a good mix of clouds and sun. The ridges had big broadwing days Friday, Saturday and today but some were still moving through New England in decent numbers today, so they have not all gotten past us yet. ======================================================================== Report submitted by John Mercer (<mercer1135...>) Rose Tree Park information may be found at: www.rtphawkwatch.org
