A meadow field day and bird walk is scheduled for Friday, October 17 (rain date 10/24) at the Jenkins/Newport farm in Worcester County. This event is sponsored by the Lower Shore Land Trust and the Maryland Coastal Bays Program, with support from Washington College’s Center for Environment & Society. The event will showcase a recently planted warm season pollinator meadow/grassland, and will include light snacks and a guided bird walk with Jared Parks, who is the Director of Lands Programs at the Lower Shore Land Trust.

This is a great opportunity to visit a private farm not usually open to the public.
