"TRANSITION" Change is in the air. Days are shorter. Bird song has nearly ceased. Seeds are ripening. Nights are filled with the mating calls of insects. Life prepares for the coming cold by migrating, laying eggs, breeding, gorging, caching food and finding shelter.
