Weather: Sunny with some afternoon clouds. Light winds that shifted from north to northeast. Warm.
Raptor Observations: The day started off well with two kestrels and two merlins that all came through together low. A steady flight in the morning then slow in the early-afternoon as the flight was high against the blue sky, but it picked up again late as the clouds helped with spotting. Highlights included 19 sharpies, 18 kestrels, and 15 broad-winged hawks (a low total, but more than doubled the season total).
Predictions: Tomorrow: Mix of sun and clouds, then cloudy. High 82F. Winds ENE at 10-15mph.
Tuesday: Mostly cloudy then partly cloudy. Slight chance of a shower. High 76F. Winds ENE at 10-20mph.
Wednesday: Cloudy with occasional rain showers. High 68F. Winds NE at 10-15mph. Chance of rain 60% ======================================================================== Report submitted by David Brown (<davidebrownpa...>) Ashland Nature Center information may be found at: www.delnature.org
