A friend reported a gray and tan bird with an extremely long tail flying back and forth between the riparian area and the office buildings along the creek between Melrose and San Elijo on San Marcis Creek. He said it swooped over the grassy area between the willows and an oak tree. He's not a birder but is a naturalist.
