Subject: [NHBirds] Unusual Cormorant
A Double-crested Cormorant has been hanging out at Coffin Pond in Sugar
Hill, NH for the better part of a week. That, in itself, is something of a
rarity. What is more unusual is that the bird seems to have established its
base in the topmost branch of a 40-foot tall Tamarack tree on one of the
islands in the pond. I have seen it up there three different times in the
last three days. Alternatively, it hangs out on a dead tree that hangs out
just above water level.
