Thank you Sheila and Josh. The birda.org website was very helpful.
Juvenile Cooper's Hawk looks like it. So in three evenings on the lookout
for Nighthawks at Mine Falls in Nashua, I've encountered a Peregrine
Falcon, a Merlin, and a Cooper's Hawk, but no Nighthawks. Also counted 166
European Starlings in a photo from this evening. Starlings come to roost
in the same trees overlooking Oxbow Cove every evening.
