A gorgeous weather day on the ridge. Rain/heavy cloud cover cleared the ridge by 9:00am and skies cleared quickly. Were hoping for more birds than we counted today but they just weren't in the pipeline. We did have some nice looks at raptors today and counted our first migrating redtails of the season. A highlight was having 13 Ravens circling and calling directly over the watch site with a few of those individuals dropping down to check out the owl decoy. Our Bird(s) of the Day selection goes to the adult Male Kestrel and the immie Sharpie that were engaged in a serious dogfight as they made their way down ridge on the reservoir side. Great action and fun to watch !
