Subject: [sbcobirding] Snowy Plover at Cachuma
After bemoaning the slow start to migration this fall, I finally found a
couple of Savannah Sparrows at Storke Flat this morning. Soon thereafter,
I saw a juvenile *Snowy Plover* on the shore. (I'm pretty sure it's not a
Piping Plover.) The plover was not seen for long, or again.
This is a new species for Cachuma and for Lehman's District I, the Interior
district.
Photos are in my eBird checklist. https://ebird.org/checklist/S271861025
Storke Flat is a restricted area along the south side of Cachuma.
