Observation start time: 09:00:00
Observation end time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 7 hours

Official Counter: Kate McKay

Observers: Annamarie Saenger, Chuck Carlson, Lillian Stokes,
Tom Momeyer

Visitors:
29. Had great company today. Meeting Lillian Stokes made my day (my very
first field guide was a Stokes guide). Thanks to Brian and Pat for spending
time with us and Tony Troppito for helping spot birds.

Weather:
Low cloud cover delayed the start of the count by an hour. After the clouds
cleared, it was partly sunny and breezy with temperatures in the sixties.

Raptor Observations:
Today's migrants included a couple of ospreys and small numbers of Sharpies
and Broad-wings. Local Broad-wings, Red-tails, and more seen throughout the
day.

Non-raptor Observations:
Songbird highlights included a Black-throated Blue Warbler hanging out
nearby and a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher checking out Gina, the plastic owl.
One Ruby-throated Hummingbird, bringing the season's total to 29.

Predictions:
With more southwest winds and showers/thunderstorms expected for tomorrow,
it doesn't look like an ideal day for much movement.
