We have a 10 hour pelagic going out to the warm waters to the SW from Monterey this Saturday. The forecast looks good in terms of getting to that site, as often we have conditions which do not allow us to go to the South. In any case, there is ample warm water there, that is the prime type of water to find southern murrelets, Buller's Shearwaters and perhaps migrant Sabines/Arctic Tern/Long-tailed Jaegers as they prefer those conditions too. We shall see. If the weather sticks, we will be going into waters that are warmer than we usually see around here.
