Subject: Sunday morning at Hi Lonesome
It was a particularly beautiful morning at Hi Lonesome today! Sixty-two
degrees!!
The birds were not abundant, but I was happy to hear a couple of Sedge
Wrens and five Henslow's Sparrows. The Henslow's have clearly not begun
their migration south. The complete list--though short--is on ebird. It
is always nice to see the Loggerhead Shrike along Cemetery Road just a bit
before Lumpee Ave. A pair nested nearby this year.
An unusual sighting was a Green Heron along Lumpee Ave near the little
stream.

Happy Birding
