As you may know, I live just down the street from you in Castro Valley on Stanton and Miramar. Every year we have a hooded oriole pair who nest and raise young in the palm across the street. They come almost daily to our bird bath. They seem to have just one young this year and are still here.
Sorry you aren’t seeing any in your neighborhood this year.
