Hi everyone,
This afternoon I was out walking around Shoreline Lake in Mountain View, enjoying the view of Forster’s Terns dive-bombing into the water for dinner. Around 8:00 PM, I noticed a quick black flash among the noisy gulls, skimmers, and other terns.
The small bird was darting through the air with remarkable agility for its size. I managed to get a few decent shots, though it didn’t stay in view for long.
Can anyone confirm whether this might be the returning Black Tern—or possibly a new individual? I'd appreciate any insights!
