Subject: [GeneseeBirds-L] Western Kingbird - near Youngstown, Niagara County
This afternoon, Vicki Rothman found a Western Kingbird at the Niagara
Frontier Golf Club, outside of Youngstown in Niagara County. The bird was
later seen to be feeding nestlings that were also tended to by an Eastern
Kingbird. This species pairing has been documented multiple times in the
east and is a very exciting event for our region.

Here are map coordinates for the location of the Western Kingbird.
Obviously, you should stay off the golf course when viewing the bird,
especially as there are so many golfers out now. The bird can be seen from
the road but a scope is probably needed to see the nest.

Good birding!
