Yep, the solitary Scripp's Murrelet is still hanging out at the boat channelin Oceanside. Viewed about 0900. Mostly foraging around the green buoysat the north tip of the south jetty (fairly far out). Been there since at leastJune 24.
Big influx of Willets and Whimbrels today at the mouth of the San Luis Rey River and the beach to the north. Generally, this spot hasn't been all that greatfor shorebirds in the 2020s. The river mouth is now blocked which oftenresults in an increase in waterbirds there. Typical for the season, hundreds of pelicans were north-bound along the coast.
