Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] White-winged Tern AWOL
As is probably self-evident, the lack of any reports so far today, Sunday, as of noon of the White-winged Tern indeed means there have no sightings, despite lots of people looking at multiple sites. Also, no sign of its buddy the alternate Black Tern.

Researchers will continue to check sporadically inside the Salt Works in the days and weeks ahead, and birders will continue to fairly regularly check the J Street flats as well.

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://bvaudubon.org/birding-resources/ .
