Subject: [NHBirds] New Behavior to me
Yesterday, a male Baltimore Oriole landed on my grape jelly feeder with a
beakful of moth. It was a large moth, maybe the size of a Banded Tussock
Moth. The unusual part, at least to me, is that he dipped the moth several
times in the jelly before taking off. It appeared that he was using the
jelly as a condiment, but I may be anthropomorphizing. :-)

If that is what he was doing, it may have been either to benefit him or the
fledglings, which have just starting visiting the jelly feeder as well.
