Subject: [CT Birds] brief stops in Orange
6/26 Orange.
While doing errands, I stopped at Wright's pond which has a family of
mallards (hen & 6 ducklings);
Old Tavern Rd park- has the osprey family with numerous Red winged
blackbirds,
Crosby Pond has turtle egg shells scattered around the edge, with 1 Great
Egret, 3 Rough Winged swallows, 1 Green heron , and a Red bellied
woodpecker.
Indian Lake has 2 Green herons flying around, 2 Rough winged swallows, 52
Canada geese (one with yellow neck band-but too far to determine number), 2
Fish crows, 2 Tree swallows and a family of mallards (hen, drake & 6
ducklings).
Full report on Ebird.
