13 new species were added to the City list for May, bringing us to 233 species, the second lowest annual total through May since 2011. New species for the month were Red-necked Phalarope, Black Swift, Solitary Sandpiper, Lewis's Woodpecker, Cassin's Auklet, Bank Swallow, Blue Grosbeak, Hooded Warbler, Manx Shearwater, Wood Duck, Willow Flycatcher, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, and Grasshopper Sparrow.
