I just had a flock of around 30 Lawrence’s Goldfinchs’ in a field adjacent to the San Luis Rey River Trail. Just across from Whelan Lake Bird Sanctuary. Returning home I found one on my fountain with an American Goldfinch.
Tomorrow is the Buena Vista Bird Walk at Whelan Lake 8 am. Maybe they will show up there.
