Both soaring considerable distance from each other. One clearly an adult. The other most likely a 2nd or 3rd year bird, based on mostly grayish head and pale gray underwing markings. Distance and backlit conditions made viewing tags impossible."

- Comments: "Brick-red cap; gray face with pale supercilium; black line through the eye, from front of the eye to the back; pale throat; faint dark malar stripe; light gray unstreaked breast and belly; brown upper back with dark streaks; two pale wing bars with the upper one being wider than the lower one; black bill; light pink legs and dark pink feet. --- Observed on the barbed wire fence past the second bridge/Phelan Ranch.

Heard singing rapid, rising, buzzy trill before even getting out of car! Small warbler with gorgeous yellow throat, ochre and black breast, blue-gray head, white eye arcs, black lores, 2 white wingbars, olive green back, and white belly. Good habitat with lots of sycamores and Spanish moss."
