Good Afternoon,
I'm hoping to reach folks who bird or have other associations in & with
Long Island Sound. DEEP Land and Water Resources Division has been working
with the Blue Plan Advisory Committee members to reach as wide an audience
as possible. If you would like to provide feedback to help update the Long
Island Sound Blue Plan, please fill out this survey
<https://arcg.is/0vW98b0> - you can remain anonymous and it only takes
about 10 minutes. We only had 49 results as of this afternoon so I'm hoping
you all can help me boost that to over 100!
The Long Island Sound Resource and Use Inventory and the Long Island Sound
Blue Plan were called for by the Connecticut General Assembly (CGA) through
Public Act 15-66 and were unanimously adopted by the CGA in 2021. The law
that established the Inventory and Blue Plan also requires that these
documents be reviewed and updated every five years. The survey I linked
above seeks feedback on familiarity with the Inventory and Blue Plan. Even
if you are not familiar with the Resource and Use Inventory or the Blue
Plan, I hope you will still complete the survey. Your insights and input
will give us a sense of why Long Island Sound is important to you, which,
in turn, can help improve the Blue Plan and the data and information
contained in the Inventory.
Finally, please feel free to reach out to me (officially) at
<bianca.beland...> if you have any questions about the survey, or
comments to share about Long Island Sound.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Bianca Beland
