Late report. A few of us walked around the Ponderosa Lodge area, where Purple Martins nested last year. We heard and saw them flying around the general area, but couldn't locate any particular tree or location they were favoring. They were seen over the Sandy service road above the main lodge, primarily. We also located active N. flicker and Pygmy nuthatch nest holes in the same dead fir, perhaps 10' apart. Paul Miller
