Subject: [southbaybirds] Bats & Birds
Last evening just before full dark I was visited by a flock of small bats. All I could see were silhouettes swooping and fluttering in the yard. I am on the flats of Los Gatos. Any idea of what kind of bat they might have been?

As to birds, other visitors were 3 PEACOCKS that spent last Friday on my house and in my yard. There is a flock of feral peacocks about 1/2 mile from me that have lived here in Los Gatos for many years and I think they were young birds from that flock doing their rumspringa. They all had that gawky teenage look and 1 was a male just starting to get his blue feathers. Fun new yard bird. Glad they didn't stay longer.
