Cool! There seems to be an emerging pattern of Yellow-breasted Chats
showing up in the riparian thickets between Point Reyes Station and
Inverness Park around May 15-20. According to eBird
<https://ebird.org/map/yebcha?neg=true&env.minX=&env.minY=&env.maxX=&env.maxY=&zh=false&gp=false&ev=Z&excludeExX=false&excludeExAll=false&mr=1-12&bmo=1&emo=12&yr=all&byr=1900&eyr=2025>there
were singing chats found here in mid-late May in 2020, 2024, and now 2025.
Last year's chat in Inverness Park stuck around singing for at least a few
weeks, suggesting it was territorial and looking for a mate (though no
breeding was confirmed). Wonder how long this year's chat will stick around.
