Subject: Red-shouldered nest
When I got home from the Wildflower Pilgrimage late Sunday afternoon, the first thing on the agenda was filling the empty suet feeders and putting out sunflower chips.  The birds were good on fresh water having adjusted the hose to drip into the pedestal bath.  One of the highlights at Blackwater Falls was seeing a Peregrine falcon and Merlin in the flesh and up close. Fabulous!    On Monday I was anxious to check on the neighborhood Red-shouldered nest.  The original location for my scope was now obscured by foliage but I lucked out finding a window when walking down my driveway.  I'd marked the spot and was able to set up my scope and capture the following video with my cell phone. The three chicks look like little aliens.                    Bruni Haydl,  Jefferson Co.                                           https://youtube.com/shorts/N8Dkw-Mze34?si=xIUe0736Yrs2KJHu
