Since no one posted to the listserv I just wanted to make it part of the public record that there was a good flight of migrants from Battery Godfrey in the Presidio a week ago.
Notable species observed included the first Black Swifts of spring, Solitary Sandpiper, Swainson's Hawks, LEWIS'S WOODPECKER (extremely rare on the coast in spring), a very late SAY's PHOEBE, Purple Martins et al.
But really I just wanted to have an excuse to plug the Corona Hill bird walk again. it takes place this Saturday at 8 a.m. and the link to sign up is here:
