Hi Everyone!
This morning I checked out Rancho Cañada del Oro. It was very quiet but I did see a pair of Lawrence’s Goldfinches in the first big meadow at the start of the Longwall Canyon Trail. After this location, I drove to the end of Oak Glen Ave. Songbirds were mostly silent but there were Caspian and Forster’s Terns, a female Wood Duck with about 8 recently fledge young, an American Avocet, two Semiplamated Sandpipers and 15 or so Western Sandpipers. I thought that was unusual and made up for the quiet day at Rancho Cañada.
