Today was really good for birding in Boone, Greene, & Guthrie counties, with my finding of about 70 species. Some of the best were Dunlins, Hudsonian Godwits, American Golden Plovers , and a Loggerhead Shrike (photo here). The Shrike was only 4 mi. SW of our home in Ogden, on 250th Ave., about 1 1/2 mi. west of US Hwy. 169.
