Subject: [ia-bird] Pileated and Towhee
Birders
The pilot woodpecker is back in my yard, drilling away on a tree and once again on the same fall law laying on the floor of the woods that it seems to favor. Pretty exciting to watch it. Hopeful that it’s making a nest somewhere nearby.
Also, I don’t often get to see Towhees in my yard. Yesterday one was singing vociferouslyon two different occasions. Such a beautiful bird.
