Subject: FOY Chipping Sparrow

I saw the first chipping sparrow of spring this morning. We still have lots of juncos. Male red-winged blackbirds have been here for weeks. Just saw the first female a few days ago. Yesterday we saw a pair of red-tailed hawks flying over the house. One had something in its talons that looked like a snake, but it’s still too cold for snakes and we didn’t have binoculars. Whatever it was, they were fighting over it.
