Today I was walking the bike path alongside Paradise Drive in Corte Madera
and had stopped to watch birds. (location 37.923128, -122.510387)
It was about 12:45 when I saw a bird in a nearby tree with a rufous cap and
looked closer. Then saw a bright white throat and noted the greenish wings
and tail. I got a good look. I was amazed to be seeing a Green-tailed Towhee
in my area! I have seen them in the Sierras but never in Marin County.
