Subject: [NHBirds] Sandhill Crane
I love to drive through Deerfield on my way back to Auburn from the
Seacoast, and was rewarded for the second time with a sighting of a
Sandhill Crane in a field on Deerfield Road, on the left just below the
Fernald Farm. It was hunting in the corn stubble, just below the manure
piled up for future spreading.

I observed for more than a half-hour, thinking there must be more, but
could only spot the one from my perch on the stonewall at the entrance to
the field.
