Subject: [ia-bird] Prairie Falcon - Blackhawk co.
I just had a PRAIRIE FALCON at Sage Sanctuary, this is on E. Bennington
rd., in NE. Blackhawk co. They're doing a prescribed burn, and this bird
flew right over me, giving me a great look at the black auxiliaries, which
is diagnostic. This species has been my nemesis in Iowa, and this was an
Iowa Lifer! No luck on relocating, yet. Also , a large flock of L.
Longspurs , in burn area.
