Weather: Rain early, stopping around 10am, then started again around 5pm. Cloudy, temps in the 50s. Winds SW at 15-20mph.
Raptor Observations: Starting around noon, there was a constant trickle of Turkey Vultures with a day total of 212. Sharp-shinned Hawks (52) and American Kestrels (14) were also moving. One Rough-legged Hawk was seen and offered decent looks as it passed by the platform. Two Peregrine Falcons flew over as well.
Non-raptor Observations: Less Redheads were in the bay today than there were yesterday. A couple Great Egrets, 1 Caspian Tern, and 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull were seen flying over.
Predictions: Tomorrow will be cloudy with a high of 42F. Winds out of the WNW at 15-25mph. There could be a small Turkey Vulture movement, but with the northerly element to the winds, I'm not expecting a big flight. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Maili Waters (<mailirwaters...>) Braddock Bay information may be found at: http://www.bbrr.org/
