Subject: [Maine-birds] Red-bellied Woodpeckers nesting in Poland
Hi all,

A pair of Red-bellied Woodpeckers have apparently decided to nest - they've
been excavating for about a week - in a dead tree that faces our front door
and is within a few yards of said door and our deck . While I'm excited
about this, I also want to make sure we don't stress the birds out. Do you
think we should avoid using our front door and that part of our deck while
they're nesting? Any other recommendations?

Thank you!

Sue Farris (she/her)
