In the past few days I have seen some loose flocks of Rusty Blackbirds at Fort Cassin in Ferrisburgh and Delta Park in Colchester. Good to see them since Rusty populations are in serious decline. It seems early for peak migration, which is usually the third week in April, but perhaps this is a harbinger of more to come. In any case be on the lookout for Rusty Blackbirds in your area and report your sightings to VT eBird.
